Rainbow Teen Camp – What to Expect

Your guide to an awesome, colorful, stress‑free camp week

Welcome to the inside scoop! Here’s everything you need to know before you arrive — no stress, no surprises, just good vibes.

First things first: You don’t have to be anyone but yourself

Rainbow Teen Camp is a place where:

  • You can be open, questioning, quiet, loud, artsy, sporty — anything
  • Nobody expects you to know all the answers
  • Everyone is respected and included

Come as you are, leave as an upgraded version of yourself ✨

💬 Day 1: Arriving & Getting Settled

When you get to camp, you’ll:

  • Meet friendly staff who greet you at check‑in
  • Get your cabin or room assignment
  • Be shown around the camp so you know where everything is
  • Meet your group and counselors
  • Join a chill welcome activity so you don’t feel awkward

You don’t have to talk if you’re shy — just being there is enough!

🎨 Workshops You Can Choose From

Every day you’ll have fun stuff to pick from, like:

  • Art & DIY projects
  • Music & songwriting
  • Theater, dance, or performance
  • Creative writing & poetry
  • Pride‑themed craft sessions
  • Chill hangouts

You pick what you enjoy. Zero pressure.

🌿 Outdoor Fun (Yes, actual fun)

Expect things like:

  • Campfire nights
  • Nature walks
  • Team games
  • Evening events & themed nights
  • Optional sports

We always make sure activities work for all comfort levels — no extreme stuff.

🧠 Identity & Confidence Sessions (Optional!)

These are small, relaxed group circles where you can:

  • Talk about identity, confidence, and friendship
  • Ask questions
  • Listen without having to share
  • Learn from others

If you don’t want to join one — you don’t have to.

😌 Downtime & Chill Spaces

There are cozy areas where you can:

  • Read
  • Draw
  • Play games
  • Listen to music
  • Take a break from people if you need it

Quiet time is respected.

🍔 Food (aka the important part)

You’ll get:

  • Breakfast, lunch, dinner
  • Snacks
  • Options for special diets
  • Drinks throughout the day

Tell us what you need — we’ve got you.

📱 Phones & Tech

You can bring your phone.
You can use it during free time.
You can’t scroll TikTok during activities (but nice try).

🫶 If You Feel Anxious or Overwhelmed

You’re not alone.
Camp counselors are:

  • Kind
  • Trained
  • Easy to talk to
  • Always around

You can talk to them any time — or just sit with them quietly until you feel okay.

🤝 Meeting New People

Most campers arrive without knowing anyone.
You’ll meet people naturally through:

  • Games
  • Meals
  • Workshops
  • Cabin groups

By Day 2, you’ll already know names.
By Day 5, you’ll have inside jokes.
By Day 7… well, bring tissues for goodbyes.

🏳️‍🌈 By the end of the week…

You’ll probably feel:

  • More confident
  • More connected
  • More “you” than ever
  • More excited about your identity
  • More proud of who you are

You’ll leave with new friends, new memories, and maybe even some new glitter in your bag.
