Rainbow Teen Camp – FAQ for Teens

1. Do I have to be LGBTQ+ to join?

Nope! Everyone between 13 and 18 is welcome — whether you’re LGBTQ+, questioning, or an ally who supports others.

2. Do I have to be “out”?

Not at all.
Some campers are out, some aren’t, and some are still figuring things out.
You never have to share anything you’re not ready to.

3. What if I don’t know anyone there?

Perfectly normal — most campers come alone.
We make sure everyone meets new people through fun activities and small groups.
You’ll make friends quicker than you think!

4. What do we do all day?

A mix of creative workshops, outdoor fun, chill time, evening activities, and optional discussion groups.
Think:
🎨 art, music, writing
🔥 campfires
🎭 theater & performance
🌿 nature & games
🧠 hangouts & conversations
You choose what you want to join — no pressure!

5. Is it awkward if I don’t want to talk about identity stuff?

Not at all!
You can share if you want to, or just listen.
Everything is optional and totally judgment‑free.

6. What if I feel shy or anxious?

Totally okay.
Our staff is super friendly and there to support you.
There are also quiet spaces if you need a break.
We get it — it’s a big step, but you won’t be alone.

7. Can I bring my phone?

Yes!
You can use it during free time.
We just ask you to be present during group activities.

8. What if I have allergies, dietary needs, or health stuff?

No problem.
We offer different food options and take health needs seriously.
Just tell us during registration and we’ll make sure you’re safe and comfortable.

9. What should I pack?

You’ll get a full list after signing up, but usually:

  • comfy clothes
  • water bottle
  • toiletries
  • jacket/hoodie
  • swimwear
  • anything you need daily
  • meds if you take any

Nothing fancy needed!

10. Are the cabins/rooms inclusive?

Yes.
We offer housing that respects your comfort and identity.
You can tell us privately what you prefer.

11. What if I don’t fit in?

You will — promise.
Rainbow Teen Camp is full of people who get what it’s like to feel different.
This is a place where everyone belongs.

12. What if something makes me uncomfortable?

We take your feelings seriously.
You can always talk to a counselor, and we’ll sort things out quickly and respectfully.

13. Will it actually be fun? Or just workshops?

It’s seriously fun.
Workshops are creative and chill — not school-like.
Plus: games, activities, music, friends, laughter, late-night chats…
You’ll make memories that last.
